DETAILS
What Types of Stretch Marks Can There Be?
Stretch marks can be red or white.
Red stretch marks, which are younger, respond better to Fraxel Laser therapy, ensuring a rapid and almost 100% resolution (provided that the affected area is not very extensive and lacks surrounding healthy tissue, which makes healing more difficult).
During the free consultation, our specialized doctor will assess the characteristics of the stretch marks and determine the minimum number of sessions required to achieve an excellent result.
How many sessions will I need?
In this way, the laser stimulates deep regeneration of the damaged dermis of the stretch mark, and this regeneration process can sometimes take up to six months. Patients who may not initially respond to the first few sessions often notice a significant difference between the treated and untreated areas after a few months.
How long do the sessions last?
The sessions with the Fraxel 1500 SR laser are fast and well-tolerated, thanks to the application of an anesthetic cream 30 minutes before the treatment.
The treatment will last from 20 to 40 minutes, depending on the area being treated, and the skin may appear red for two or three days afterwards.
It will be necessary to apply a soothing cream in the following days.
Are there any side effects?
There are practically no side effects if the doctor's instructions are followed scrupulously. To date, based on the characteristics of the treated stretch marks, the improvements obtained range between 60% and 90%.
Fraxel Laser is approved by the FDA (the U.S. regulatory agency for medical and healthcare products), guaranteeing safety and effectiveness.
What are the costs of this treatment?
The cost for this treatment starts from 150 euros per session, depending on the area being treated.
