What Types of Stretch Marks Can There Be?

Stretch marks can be red or white.

Red stretch marks, which are younger, respond better to Fraxel Laser therapy, ensuring a rapid and almost 100% resolution (provided that the affected area is not very extensive and lacks surrounding healthy tissue, which makes healing more difficult).

How many sessions will I need?

In this way, the laser stimulates deep regeneration of the damaged dermis of the stretch mark, and this regeneration process can sometimes take up to six months. How long do the sessions last?

The sessions with the Fraxel 1500 SR laser are fast and well-tolerated, thanks to the application of an anesthetic cream 30 minutes before the treatment.

The treatment will last from 20 to 40 minutes, depending on the area being treated, and the skin may appear red for two or three days afterwards.

It will be necessary to apply a soothing cream in the following days.

Are there any side effects?

There are practically no side effects if the doctor's instructions are followed scrupulously. To date, based on the characteristics of the treated stretch marks, the improvements obtained range between 60% and 90%.
